A great post I wanted to share with you. Let’s not forget 7/7 – but let’s also not lose sight of the negativity it’s brought to Islam. A religion that bears the brunt of people’s mistrust now more than ever – despite it teaching many of the same values as Christianity – justice, love and forgiveness.
Ten years on and thank goodness we still take time to remember those lost and those injured, those whose families were torn apart by the 7/7 bombings. Sometimes, in light of how much is done in remembrance of 9/11, I worry that the tragedy of 7/7 will be forgotten. Today we are still asked to remember where we were and what we were doing on the 7th July 2005.
